Sanjarani, by heading of a parliamentary delegation represented Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, left Islamabad for Iran on a private plane on Wednesday morning.
The Pakistani delegation first arrived in the holy city of Mashhad and visited the spiritual court (shrine) of Imam Reza (as).
During his stay in Tehran, Sanjarani called on the new President of Iran and also met with the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
The Chairman of the Pakistani Senate last week during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad called his visit to Iran important and reiterated his visit to Iran to be a big step towards strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
