Iran and Pakistan agree to sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of joint media productions
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad and the Minister for Information of Pakistan, considering the importance of producing joint cultural products, including the life of Allama Iqbal Lahori, agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the field of joint production of films and drama serials.
   Ms. Maryam Aurangzeb, Minister of Information and Spokesperson of the Government of Pakistan, hosted Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, on Friday in Islamabad.    In this meeting, it was emphasized that the production of a joint film about the life of Allameh Iqbal Lahori is on the agenda of Iran and Pakistan, and for this reason, both countries are ready to sign an agreement for the joint production of films and  drama serials.    The Minister for Information of Pakistan, while expressing her interest in expanding coordinated cooperation, especially in the aforementioned sectors, announced her readiness to exchange media and cultural delegations with Iran.    Emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields, she said: expanding joint cooperation, especially in the cultural and popular fields, is on the agenda of the Islamabad government.    Hosseini, Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, also emphasized on the implementation of the past agreements between the two countries and the provision of suitable platforms for the exploitation of mutual capacities and capabilities.    In this meeting, he invited Pakistan's Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb for an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was welcomed by the Pakistani side.    The two sides agreed to expand their cultural and media cooperation in order to spread Islamic and Quranic culture and produce suitable media content for children.
