Visit by H.E.Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi Honouable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

H.E. Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi Honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on April 22 2024 arrived in Pakistan for a two-days visit on the invitation of the prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.

 

H.E. Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on April 22, 2024 arrived in Pakistan for a two-days visit on the invitation of the prime minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.

H.E.Dr. Raisi accompanied by a big delegation of the Iranian government officials, including the ministries of defence, culture , Islamic guidance, road & urban development, petroleum, agriculture etc.

H.E. Dr. Raisi was welcomed by H.E. Mr. Riaz Hussain Pirzadeh ,honorable minister for Housing and works as the special representative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan at the airport

The official welcome ceremony was held by the Prime Minister of Pakistan at the Prime Minister's House. Dr. Raisi, met with the honorable President of Pakistan, H.E.Mr. Asif Ali Zardari,Honourable prime minister of Pakistan, H.E.Mr Shahbaz Sharif, honouable chief of the army staff, honourable chairman of the Senate and honourable speaker of the National Assembly and delivered a speech at the gathering of eminent religious , academic, social and  cultural personalities on the first day of this trip in Islamabad.

Mr. Dr. Raisi also visited the cities of Lahore and Karachi on the second day of his trip.Paying tribute at the tomb of Allama Iqbal, visit to the Badshahi Mosque and speech at G.C. University, Lahore were the programs in this historical city visit on the second leg of the trip.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran then travelled to the city of Karachi and welcomed by H.E.Mr. Syed Murad Ali Shah, honourable chief minister and H.E. Mr.Kamran Tasuri,honourable Governer of Sindh Province. Visiting the tomb of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, delivering of speech at Iran-Pakistan Economic Forum, meeting and receiving an honorary doctorate degree of Karachi University were the other programs during this trip.
